The OYRHLC Effective Speaking Contest 2013 organized by Ontario York Region Heritage Lions Club (OYRHLC) is to provide an opportunity for effective public speaking and to stimulate self-expression and independent thinking among students.

Eligibility

The contest is open to students enrolled in public schools and private schools or their equivalent in York Region.  Students from other areas are also welcome to participate.

The contest will be held in English language.

First place winners of previous Multiple District Final contest are not eligible to compete in future contests in the same division.

The Contest

The contest consists of four (4) grade divisions:

Cub           -  Grades 4,5

          Junior       -  Grades 6, 7, 8

          Intermediate       -  Grades 9, 10

          Senior        -  Grades 11, 12

To register, please complete the registration form (as attached) and return it on or before Monday, February 18, 2013.  You can find details of the rules and regulations of the Contest in the attached file.
