The Ontario York Region Heritage Lions Club has just celebrated its 4th Charter Anniversary on July 23, 2011 at the Canada Room in Markham Civic Centre.

We are a non-profit organization serving the community of York Region
Our Mission
to actively participate in the community as a service group
to educate and encourage the younger generation to positively participate in the Canadian society
to nurture younger Canadians to develop their sense of responsibility to serve society through mobilizing them to organize and participate in sports, art and recreational activities
to provide opportunities for leadership development
to help bridge the gap between Chinese Canadians and all other members of Canadian society: by actively participating in 'mainstream' activities in liaison with Lions Clubs International; by introducing and sharing the Chinese heritage and values with 'mainstream' Canadians through cultural and educational projects
to uphold a spirit of sharing and service as laid out by Lions Clubs International
