Heritage Lions Dragon Boat were at the 25th Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival at Centre Island
Again, the "Heritage Lions Grrr !!!" dragon boat team displayed fine teamwork and captured 3rd place in its division finals on Sunday, June 23, 2013. This is the 3rd consecutive year that the team was able to win medals at the event.

Three Heritage Lions attended the event on June 8, 2013 planting wildflowers along the pond at Markham Civic Centre. Our Club was recognized by the City of Markham in our efforts in planting trees in support to the City's Tree for Tomorrow project.
Heritage Lions soccer team joined the Community Cup Soccer Day organized by York Regional Police on June 1, 2013 to promote diversity and welcome new immigrants. We had a booth to promote Lionism and our Club at the event.
Ontario York Region Heritage Lions Club held the 3rd Annual Purina Walk for Dog Guides at Toogood Pond Park in Unionville on Sunday, May 26, 2013 to raise funds for the Dog Guides program of Lions Foundation of Canada. There were over 20 dogs with over 60 people joining the Walk.
Ontario York Region Heritage Lions Club celebrated Mother's Day morning on May 12, 2013 with over 80 volunteers at Austin Drive Park planting over 300 trees. It is an annual project working together with Evergreen and City of Markham.
January 16th, 2013 On January 16, 2013, we had the honour of having our District Governor Lion Tom Gordon visiting our Club and performed the induction of our two new Lion members: Lion Monica Yeung and Lion Kelvin Yeung.
Ontario York Region Heritage Lions Club celebrated the Holiday Seasons with a Christmas party on Sunday, December 16, 2012. There were a nice buffet dinner, karaoke singing, bingo game, and a 50/50 draw. Thank you to the support from the Heritage Lions and their guests joining for an enjoyable evening.
In support to Canadian Diabetes Association, Heritage Lions were at Sobey's at McCowan and Bur Oak promoting diabetes awareness by giving out tags to the public and collecting donations to Canadian Diabetes Association.
Ontario York Region Heritage Lions Club has adopted Toogood Pond Park in Unionville. We are holding park clean up twice a year to help maintain the park clean and pleasant for all to enjoy.
We had the fall Park Clean Up on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 10 am at Toogood Pond Park in Unionville. Seven Lions and a volunteer came to help picked up garbage and cleaned up the park for all to enjoy.
Ontario York Region Heritage Lions Club celebrated its 5th Charter Anniversary on Sunday, July 15th, 2012. The new Club Officers for 2012-2013 Lions year were installed by our District Governor Lion Tom Gordon at the event.
