OYRHLC held the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides at Richmond Green Park on May 28th, 2022. Thanks to all the walkers, volunteers, lions and everyone supported the walk. With your kind support and donations, we are able to raise over $2,500 for the Lions Foundation of Canada dog guides service. Thank you!
OYRHLC held the Effective Speaking Contest on March 6th, 2022. There were 13 contestants in the intermediate division, and 11 contestants in the junior division completed in today's online contest. It was a great day to see the youth showcasing their communication skills and community engagement. Thanks to all the contestants, parents, educators, judges, sponsors and Lions helped made it happen!
OYRHLC has the Standard First Aid recertification course held on Feb 21st. Thanks to St. John Ambulance First Aid instructor Mr. Ben Lo being the course instructor, 5 of our club members with 4 friends and families have completed the course. It is a valuable training that helps us better equipped to serve the community.
15 years ago, February 6th, 2007, a group of like minded and service oriented individuals came together. The group founded the Ontario York Region Heritage Lions Club.
15 years after, February 6th, 2022, the Heritage Lions continue to serve, 5479 days and counting.
Thanks to every Heritage Lion served in all these years. We carry the fire and will keep going on.

OYRHLC has collected 332lb of food supporting the Markham Ward 8 Fight Hunger Food Drive Challenge 2021. Food collected and brought to donation point 105 Gibson Centre on December 18. Thanks to all the Lions, families and friends supported this season's food drive. We are glad to have the opportunity to support the community together.
OYRHLC has the Fall Park Clean up at Toogood Pond Park on September 11th, 2021. Six lions and two of their friends were able to participate. We have also counted 575 pairs of eyeglasses collected in the summer for the eyeglasses recycling program. Together, we will continue to serve!
We are proud to announce that the OYRHLC club officers of 2021-2021 were installed on July 25th. Thanks to 1VDG Lion Caryoln Stephenson help being the installing officer. It is a new year that we look forward to more new service activities that we can continue to serve!
